Now there is a nice ambiguous word again: we convert one form of cash into another form of money, and are taught that we receive an equivalent amount of value (minus any fees). In religion however, to convert someone to your beliefs is done because you believe your beliefs are better than theirs...
But most people don't convert unless their view on life or reality is already so much aligned, that it is no longer a leap of faith.
